You were the first person to teach me on my first day.
You were the first person who opened my eyes to something new.
You were the first person I went to when I didn’t know what to do.
Whether it was advice for family, relationships, or Algebra.

You were honest,
You were my guidance
You were open minded.
It didn’t matter what it was

You listened
You understood.
You were everything a high schooler needed
With all the confusion and nonsense
High school was filled with.
You were there for me.
