Sahuaro currently has 409 seniors. Seniors who are counting the months, the weeks, the days until they walk across the football field, soak in the applause and cheering from their loved ones in the stands, and finally conclude their twelve years of schooling.  But make that eleven and a half years for six seniors who will be accepting their diplomas this December and leaving us.

December Grad, Casey Dishroon:
How do you feel about graduation?
“I’m excited, sad that I’m graduating.”
Did you take any extra classes?
“I took a full math class over the summer, along with one semester of English and P.E. while I was in school.”
What are you going to miss most about Sahuaro?
“Probably wrestling, and friends.”
What mark did you leave behind?
“A good reputation for my brother, who is currently going here.”
What do you want to do after graduation?
“Probably get an apartment, and a better paying job.”

December Grad, Cheyenne Coombs:
How do you feel about graduation?
“It’s scary but I’m ready.”
Did you take any extra classes?

“I took some online and during summer school.”

What are you going to miss the most about Sahuaro?
“Some of the teachers and the football games.”
What mark did you leave behind?
“I don’t know.”
What do you want to do after graduation?
“I want to buy a house and I want to be a social worker.”

How do you feel about graduation?
“At first happy, but I am also nervous, because college is so different than high school.”
Did you take any extra classes?
“Yea, I took two math classes and then two English classes my senior year.”
What are you going to miss most about Sahuaro?

“All the teachers, because all the teachers I met here are so nice.”
What mark did you leave behind?
“I made a lot of friends and created a good relationship with my teachers.”
What do you want to do after graduation?
“After graduation I want to go to Pima and see how it goes from there.”

December Grad, Jesus Acosta Solis:
How do you feel about graduation?
“I am happy with graduation because I know I am at least one step higher to my goals.”
Did you take any extra classes?
“Yea I took summer school a lot.”
What are you going to miss most about Sahuaro?
“I’m gonna miss the teachers, my friends, and school, the good vibration here.”

What mark did you leave behind?
“I always pushed myself, and had a lot of dedication in everything I did and that’s what I left behind.”
What do you want to do after graduation?
“Probably move back to Mexico, and study to become an orthodontist.”

“I’m excited, and proud.”

“Yes a lot of summer school.”

“Definitely friends.”

“People need to get it all done.”

What do you want to do after graduation?
“Work my way to become a police officer.”
