Chance the Rapper Donates 1 Million to Chicago School District

Chance the Rapper has donated one million dollars to the Chicago public school system. This money is being donated specifically to the Fine Arts and after school programs. He decided to donate to the Chicago system because he grew up and received his education there. Chicago is struggling in funding their education program so Chance the Rapper’s donation has greatly affected the system. “I’m committed to helping Chicago’s children have quality learning experiences that include the arts.”

Chance questioned Governor Rauner of the Chicago district but received vague answers on how the school system got to its current state. Chance is aggravated that the governor let the school system get to that position but “that will not stop me from continuing to do all I can to support Chicago’s most valuable resource: its children.”
