Our galaxy is full of wonders and mysteries, one of those wonders being if there is some form of alien life. As we have conducted a search for other planets, we are now going to start searching for life on those other planets found.

U of A’s very own Oliver Guyon says “We’re no longer wondering if rocky planets are in the habitable zones of the stars. As far as we can tell, they’re everywhere. We’re transitioning into life-finding. We have a lot of work ahead of us.”

With the vastness of the universe, there is bound to be some other species living beyond our known universe, within our explorable galaxy. As much as we know about other planets and their contents, there are signs on life on these planets. Within our solar system, the conditions the planets are in makes it impossible for us to find any kind of living evidence, but since the focus is no longer on trying to find other inhabitable planets, we can focus on trying to find life on these other planets, all within the sun’s orbit.

According to NASA, it isn’t impossible for alien species to start on separate planets, due to alien metabolisms being able to adapt. There have been no signs of obvious life on any other planets, which may also allow us to inhabit planets that have our same atmosphere and vegetation-capabilities. Those planets are still being searched for, as there have been very few found. Some were still found, but not as many as we know are out there.

Soon, we can openly visit these other planets and possibly attempt to inhabit them. Soon, we’ll explore the galaxy to our fullest extent. Soon, we may find life other than ours. Soon.
