On Saturday, May 13th, Sahuaro High School will be hosting it’s first Olympics from 9am to 1pm. Admission is $7 per person, and those interested in participating can either be in teams of 5-10, or sign up as a “free agent.” Pizza, Eegees, water and Gatorade will be provided.

The individual events are Bobsled (slipNslide), Discus (frisbee), Speed Jump Rope, Rock-Paper-Scissors, Hand Stand, Shooting (squirt guns), Fencing (pool noodles), Rollie-Pollie race (somersault), Golf (soccer balls/ hoola hoops),and an Egg Carrying Marathon.

For the Double Events, there will be a Piggy Back Race, Wheelbarrow Race, Badminton, Water Balloon Toss, Water Skiing (skateboard), Leap Frog Relay, and Darts (water balloon).

And finally for the team events- Four Legged relay, Tuxedo Relay, Egg Carry Relay, and Water Bucket Relay.

There will be Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards in each category as well as an overall team score award and an award for best team uniforms.

Submissions are due May 10th to Mr. Rutherford in room 100.
