#Title: VFW Voice of Democracy Eligibility: All students (Us citizens or permanent residents) grades 9-12 Requirements: Complete entry form and record an original 3-5 minute essay on the topic

Title: Arizona Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Eligibility: Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply. Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. College students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. Male and female students compete separately. Requirements: Submit application found on-line to contact below. Applicants will be judged on financial need, leadership and scholarship. Title: Alisa’s Angels Scholarship Eligibility: Graduating seniors who have a record of service to others and a financial need. No citizenship requirement Requirements: Complete application including nomination, resume, transcript, and essay. Title: Arizona Assurance Eligibility: Seniors who are Arizona residents, will enroll at the UA full time for Fall 2016, have earned (by the end of junior year) an un-weighted, cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher in their core classes (on a 4.0 scale), and who have a family income of $42, 400 or less. Requirements: Complete UA application now! Complete FAFSA (beginning 10/1/16 but before 3/1/16). You will be notified of other requirements on your NextSteps. Note: failure to complete all necessary requirements by specific deadlines will disqualify you from receiving this award! Arizona State University Scholarships Note: ASU Applications and FAFSA forms (opens 10/1/16) must be completed and submitted no later than January 1, 2017 to receive priority financial aid and scholarship consideration. President Barack Obama Scholars Award Eligibility: Students applying to ASU with a 3.0 or higher GPA in core classes whose total annual family income is $42,400 or less. Requirements: Submit ASU application plus additional requirements. See website for details. American University Scholarships Eligibility: Seniors who are Arizona residents admitted to ASU. This is a merit based (GPA, test scores) scholarship with no financial need requirements. Requirements: Students are automatically considered for this award when they are admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) must be on file with the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office to be considered for this award. Northern Arizona University Scholarships Note: NAU Applications and FAFSA forms (beginning 10/1/16) must be completed and submitted no later than November 15, 2016 to receive priority financial aid and scholarship consideration. Title: Flinn Scholarship Eligibility: To be awarded the Flinn Scholarship, an applicant must: 4 a U.S. citizen by the time of entry to the university; Be an Arizona resident for two years by the time of entry to the university As a general rule, Flinn Scholarship applicants should: Score a minimum 29 on the ACT (composite score) or 1300 on the SAT I (counting critical reading and mathematics sections only, not including the writing section); Attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average (unweighted); Rank in the top 5 percent of their graduating class; Participate and demonstrate leadership in a variety of extracurricular activities. Requirements: Complete on line application including two teacher recommendations. Amount: Tuition, room and board, and fees for four years at UA/ASU/NAU plus a study abroad program! Title: Arizona Earn to Learn Program Eligibility: Graduating seniors accepted at UA, NAU or ASU for the fall 2017 semester. Be 18 years of age or older, if under the age of 18, a parent or guardian and the participant must complete separate applications to be submitted together. Be an Arizona resident and have lived here for 3 months prior to applying. Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. Have a social security or federal tax identification number. Note: Go to website to take a quick eligibility quiz. Many graduating seniors will qualify! Requirements: Enrollment in the program requires students and/or families to establish savings accounts and deposit up to $500 to receive a matching deposit of an additional $4,000 from the program. Title: Dorrance Scholarship Programs Eligibility: Eligible applicants meet all of the following criteria:  Seniors in good standing who will graduate from an accredited Arizona high school and enter the university as a college freshmen  First generation to attend college (neither parent/step-parent, living or deceased, or legal guardian holds a four year degree from any country)  Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted)  Minimum combined SAT score of 1040 or composite ACT score of 22 (excluding writing score in both instances)  Admitted to one of Arizona’s three residential public universities (Arizona State University-Tempe, NorthernArizona University-Flagstaff, University of Arizona-Tucson)  Demonstrated financial need (www.fafsa.ed.gov)  Demonstrated leadership and volunteer service  Agree to participate in all aspects of the scholarship program (See Program At A Glance)… MUST be able to travel internationally  Signed Scholar Participation Agreement  Reside on campus freshman and sophomore year  Participate in the Dorrance Summer Bridge Program in Flagstaff, AZ Awards: Up to $12,000 annually, renewable. President’s Scholarship ($7,750 per year) Minimum incoming GPA of 3.9 (weighted) or SAT 1350 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 31 composite.

Provost’s Scholarship ($6,750 per year) Minimum incoming GPA of 3.7 (weighted) or SAT 1225 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 27 composite.

Dean’s Scholarship ($5,750 per year) Minimum incoming GPA of 3.5 (weighted) or SAT 1100 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 24 composite.

Faculty Scholarship ($4,750 per year) Minimum incoming GPA of 3.3 (weighted) or SAT 1050 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 22 composite.

Antelope Scholarship ($3,750 year) Minimum incoming GPA of 3.0 (weighted) or SAT 1000 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 20 composite. National Scholarships (good for any college or university unless noted)

Title: Hispanic Heritage Foundation 2016 Youth Awards Eligibility: Entering its 18th year, the Youth Awards honor Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their focus in various categories including: Business & Entrepreneurship (Presented by BBVA Compass) Community Service (Presented by Colgate-Palmolive) Education (Presented by Southwest Airlines, Official Airline of the Youth Awards) Engineering (Presented by ExxonMobil) Healthcare & Science (Presented by CVS Health) Mathematical Science (Presented by PwC) Amount: $3,000 Deadline: 10/2/16 Website: www.hispanicheritage.org Title: Wendy’s High School Heisman Award Eligibility: Seniors graduating in May 2017 who have a 3.0 or better GPA and who participate in one or more high school sponsored sports. Amount: Wendy’s gift certificates in various amounts (no scholarship, but hey, you gotta eat when you are in college!), awards for your school and national recognition. Title: Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Eligibility: Seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents intending on pursuing a four-year degree (may start at a 2 yr college) with a family adjusted gross income of $55,000 or less. Students should have a record of school/community service activities. 2.0 GPA minimum requirement. Aspiring Fashion Professional” Scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college.  Interested students can visit this link www.fashion-schools.organd find the scholarship located at the bottom of the page and click on it.

Aspiring Animation Professional” Scholarship Program. This is the 5th year we are awarding this scholarship for AnimationCareerReview.com. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship.  This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Aspiring Business Professional” Scholarship.
