Four runners finished with times faster than the Olympic Gold Medal winner, Matthew Centrowitz Jr.  The Rio 2016 Paralympians are all visually-impaired, disqualifying them from racing in the Olympics.  And they weren’t using blades or any devices unavailable to Olympic athletes.  The four men finished the 1500 meter race in less time than the champion.  Abdellatif Baka of Algeria raced to gold, breaking a world-record time with 3:48.29, followed by Tamiru Demisse of Ethiopia with silver and Henry Kirwa of Kenya with bronze.
