Do you know what is going into your body when you buy produce from the grocery store? Produce sold at grocery stores are grown with harsh pesticides that could negatively affect your body like causing breathing problems, growth deficiencies, and even cancer. Here in Tucson, many people locally grow and sell their products. Produce and eggs that are local are known to have a jackpot of flavor compared to items bought at the grocery store. Many would like to choose organic produce and other items, but claim it is too expensive. When buying locally, from farmers markets, you take off taxes and shipping costs, allowing the farmers to sell for cheaper and get a better quality of organic than you do from the store. Heirloom Farmers Market: Open Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Located at 400 S Sarnoff Dr, Tucson, AZ 85710. They suggest to bring your own bags and they are dog friendly!

Food In Root: Open every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month 10:00 am- 2:00 pm. They are located at 6200 N La Cholla Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85741. There is guaranteed free parking.

Rincon Valley Farmers & Artisans Market: Open Every Saturday 8 am to 1 pm, rain or shine. Located at 12500 E. Old Spanish Trail.

Community Food Bank Farm Stand: Open on Tuesdays 8:00 am – noon. Located on 3003 S. Country Club Road, Tucson, AZ. .
