For Lylah Fields’  senior project for Ms. Krause, she composed a 4-song classical music album that she intends to use for her application into the Opera program at the University of Arizona. Lylah’s  wanted to make her repertoire more diverse and her acceptance rate higher. She’s been working on it for about 3 months with the help of choir teacher Ms. Barnes and U of A’s professor, David Ashcraft. She stated that her inspiration for it was that she has been musically infleunced for about 11 years, so it came naturally to her.

Although Lylah had been thinking about it for several months prior, that didn’t stop her from putting it together as quickly as she could. Lylah is not only comfortable, but “excited about the overall outcome of my album.”

As we say goodbye to the seniors, we think there should be some recognition towards their accomplishments, and Lylah Fields is no exception to the list. With what she’s let us know, we wish her the best of luck towards – not only her transition from high school to college – but more importantly, high school to life. We wish you success on your acceptance to the Opera program and even more musical achievements yet to come!
