For the first time in 4 years, Nickelback and Daughtry made an appearance in Phoenix at the Ak-Chin Pavillion. The opening band, Sharman’s Harvest, kicked off the show around 6:00 p.m. After their moment to shine, Daughtry came out strong by playing Go Down to evoke excitement in the rowdy Phoenix crowd. They also played other fan favorites to jam out to. After Daughtry,  the moment came that everyone was waiting for all night: Chad Croeger and his band walked out onto the stage. Immediately, they went into Feed the Machine which is on their new album named Feed the Machine. That night from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., was one of the most fun and exotic nights of my life!

Daughtry is one of my favorite bands and so many of their songs have gotten me through rough patches in my life. Seeing them live was unlike any other thing I’ve experienced. They played meaningful songs, such as Waiting for Superman, a cover of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, Over You, and their new song called Backbone. Their cover of Nothing Else Matters was so peaceful and beautiful to me, and the crowd went wild over it! Their new song just about had me in tears, Backbone is all about staying strong through thick and thin and knowing that you are not the only person dealing with hard times. I’m incredibly impressed with Daughtry’s live performance and I would go see them again in a heartbeat.

Nickelback is such a fun and creative band when it comes to their music and song lyrics. Their new album is my overall favorite! I love the genuine characteristics of each song and it is more on the mellow side of their music. My favorite songs on Feed the Machine would be The Silent Majority and The Betrayal Act III. Also, I was very elated when they played How You Remind Me, Lullaby and Animals The band was so lively on stage and I would also go see them again if given the chance to do so. This concert was definitely one of the best experiences of my life and I would do anything to go back to that iconic night!
