A sport is any activity involving physical exertion in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. According to that definition, is bowling a sport? Well, bowling is both an individual and a team game. Also, it does involve physical activity, although it isn’t much. Some people may say bowling is not a sport, but I would argue to say that it is indeed a sport.

Just because bowling is not as popular as football or baseball does not mean it doesn’t deserve the title of a sport. Just like any other sport, bowling does involve lots of skill. Like golf, it is a team sport or a sport you can play on your own. There is competition in bowling, same as any other sport, but because of how casual the game is, it is also considered a recreational activity.
