A shooting at YouTube’s headquarters in San Bruno California left the shooter dead and three others wounded this past Tuesday, April 3rd. The shooter, Nasim Najafi Aghdam, injured three employees, leaving one in critical condition before ending her own life with the handgun she used to carry out the shooting.

The motive is still being established, but it is known that the suspect was very critical of YouTube as a company, and asked by name for one of the male victims she shot. Despite the fact that first responders were there in minutes, Aghdam had already taken her own life by the time they arrived.

In response to this, YouTube has made a statement saying that they will increase security measures in order to make their workplace a safer one, and to hopefully prevent other incidents like this one.
