The United States led a bombing strike on Syria following the country’s use of chemical weapons on its own people this past Saturday, on April 14th, in the town of Duoma that killed up to 75 people. Some of those involved in the attack were young children.

The gas attack is thought to have been perpetrated by the Syrian Government. The U.S. and France, two key members of the bombing, believe to have evidence supporting this. Despite that, and the overwhelming amount of people affected by this tragedy, Syria and Russia still deny that there was ever a gas attack at all.

The United States, Britain, and France fired over 100 missiles at Syria which are believed to have stricken a crippling blow to the center of Syria’s chemical weapons network. Even so, our President has stated that he will not hesitate to strike again if there is another chemical weapons attack, and that the U.S. is “locked and loaded” should such a situation arise.

While many have criticized the attack, the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, says that there was “no practicable alternative to the use of force.”
