I love Halloween…Dressing up and just generally having a good time! Growing up, I thought, dressing up like a princess was only for Halloween (or for fashion shows that nobody but my mom and dad saw); little did I know that there was another way! There just so happens to be this magical place called a comic or anime convention (comic/Anime Con) where you can dress up (or cosplay), meet fun people who like the same things you do, and buy merchandise (merch) for your favorite shows, books, or games (fandoms). As well as normal every day people these cons also pay voice actors and real actors to attend these events. Last year, I met Zach Callison the voice actor of Steven Universe, at a con called Con Nichiwa (@connichiwaaz on instagram).

I have had the pleasure to attend 4 of these conventions and I am in love! This past Labor day weekend I actually had the opportunity to attend Saboten  Anime-con; Saboten means cactus in Japanese. This con focuses on anime, and Japanese culture. At that con I did so choose to participate in cosplaying, with my friend. In all, I had a ton of fun and suggest that if you get a chance. Go to comic con!
