Mac Miller was known for his great music and helping people get through their hardest times through his music. September 7, 2018 police found Mac Miller laying on the floor, dead in his home in California.  Police said that he overdosed.

Miller, a rapper and producer who started his music career when he was a teen, died at a young age, which was 26. At the moment, there are no details about his death.

A police department in Los Angeles got a “call for a death investigation at the 11600 block of Valleycrest Road just before noon local time.”

Mac Miller’s full name is Malcolm McCormick. He started his musical journey by putting out mixed tapes when he was a teenager. He released his first album in 2012 called Blue Slide Park. When Miller was 19, his first track” became the first independent debut album to hit the top of the Billboard chart in more than 16 years.”

Last month Miller released his fifth album called Swimming which came to be a great album and his #1 hit song, Self Care.

Miller was known for “channeling his struggles into his music.” People loved his music because they were able to relate with him about his struggles. It also helped people who listen to his music get through hard times. Miller’s song, Missed Calls, has a verse where he talks about “where you knew that riches and rap wasn’t enough for the then-newcomer, and that there would always be hardship and heartache ahead.”

“We run into each other and it’s like we don’t even speak the same language / I guess people always going through changes / Didn’t think I would lose you once I got famous.”

“He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans.” said his family.

Mac Miller will always be remembered, Rest in Peace.

UPDATE: The L.A Coroners Office says Mac had cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol all in his system when he died. The coroner’s report also mentioned a bag with a white powdery substance was in his coat pocket.(11/5)
