On September 12, 2018 a 16-year-old, straight-A student was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old student in the middle of class and was reported dead at 9:24 am at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. Reporters reported that the 17-year-old girl pulled out a steak knife  and stabbed the 16-year-old girl twice on the chest.  Students said it happened so quickly that there was also nothing the teacher or the students could do. Security or the teacher tried to do CPR on the victim, but it turns out they ran out of time and she was losing a lot of blood.

Reporters think that the reason why she was stabbed to death was because of a boy. They also said that the suspect was suspicious her boyfriend was cheating on her with the the 16-year-old girl. The boy knew both girls and he was either 16 or 17 years old.

Witnesses also said the attack was unprovoked. All 30 students were in the class when the victim was stabbed to death on the floor. Everyone was in shock, they didn’t know what to do or know how to react to a dead body in front of their eyes.
