This year’s 70th Primetime Emmy Awards took home the honor of having the record-lowest audience with just over 10.2 million people, down 11 percent from the past two years.  The hosts for the award show were Michael Che and Colin Jest. There were a few special guest performers; Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon and Ricky Martin.

The top 4 2018 award winning Emmys were:

Rachel Brosnaham won best lead actress in a comedy show, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”

Henry Winkler won best supporting actor in a comedy show, “Barry”

Matthew Rhys won best actor in a drama series, “The Americans.”

Thandie Newton won best supporting actress in a drama series, “Westworld.”

Glenn Wiess, a director, won an Emmy for “outstanding director”. After Glenn received his award, he got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend on live television. There was a great applause and ‘awes’ for the new soon-to-be-married couple.
