Meet English teacher Esau Hislope!
- I am from Boswell, IN – a farm town of 1,000 people.
- I have always been HOT.
- One day I hope to get married.
- I am named after a Southern Baptist minister named Esau Huff. He baptized my father in the Cumberland River in Kentucky.
- The worst thing I ever did in high school was participate in a squirt gun fight.
- If I could be any food, I would be an apple, because I’d be good for someone everyday.
- If I could have anyone in the world as a teacher, it would be Mr. (Mark) Chandler, because I love movies.
- If I wasn’t a teacher, I would be a star of a reality TV show, but I might be too much for TV.

Hi Esau,
Mary and I were just reminiscing about college days and your name came up. Just wanted to reach out and say hello! Lots of crazy fun times so many years ago.
We are great grandparents now and continue to still have very busy lives and are still very active. Hope this finds you well and gives you a little chuckle and a blast from the past.
Best,

Esau, you were one of my favorite teachers. I’m sorry I didn’t try harder. Thank you for not giving up on me.

Mr. Hislope,
By any chance, did you teach at Plymouth High School in the late 70’s, early 80’s? If so, I have wanted to find you for several years to thank you for being such a great teacher. I am a college professor teaching math and computer science at a local community college. Would Love to catch up with you……
With Kind Regards,
Shane P. Albright
