The Scholarship Programs below are accepting applications from students between January 17, 2019 and January 31, 2019.  Please read the application instructions on the website carefully before applying.

Here are this week’s Scholarship Programs:

·         The ASU Tucson Alumni group is providing a scholarship from a student attending a local Tucson high school. The deadline is February 8.  More information can be found here, https://scholarships.asu.edu/scholarship/114434

·         Western National Parks Association Essay Contest Rules and Flyer – UPDATED – Cash Prizes for Student Winners!

·         Since our National Park Partners, and judges, are currently unable to work, the Western National Parks Association has decided to extend the deadline for the essay contest to February 1st, 2019. Please find the updated materials attached.

·         DMOSC Military Scholarship Program

·         Awards: Merit-based scholarships ranging from $750 and up

·         Open to: Class of 2019; Dependents of U.S. Armed Forces, any rank; Planning to pursue Undergraduate degree (2-year or 4-year), Vocational / Trade / Technical training

·         National Beta Scholarships – January 24, 2019 (250 – Awards – $20,000)

·         Safe Pedestrians Scholarship – January 31, 2019 (1 Award – $1,000)

·         In order to be considered eligible to apply for The Safe Pedestrian Scholarship, students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or law program within the United States. High school seniors who will be enrolled in college the following semester are also eligible to apply. All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

   ABPA Scholarship – January 31, 2019 (1 Award – $1,500)

·         The competition is open to all persons of high school age (at least age 13 and no older than age 19 as of December 31, 2018) and legal residents of the United States or Canada. Applicants may currently attend a public, private, or parochial school, or be home-schooled. The applicant is not required to be college-bound; the scholarship money can be used for any type of advanced education. Previous winners and the immediate families of ABPA officers and directors are not eligible to participate. Further, the immediate relatives of directors and staff of Federal Student Aid, Semester at Sea, or the National Student Leadership Conference are not eligible to participate.

·         Future Contractors Scholarship – January 31, 2019 (1 Award – $750)

·         To be eligible for the Future Contractors Scholarship:
1) The CCIS Scholarship Essay Contest is open to all citizens and/residents of the United States.
2) Applicants must apply online and include Full Name, Email Address, Permanent Mailing Address, Current/Planned University, Projected Graduation Date, and Area of Study/Major. Finalists must provide proof of current or future enrollment and photo of themselves. Photo and Essay of the winner will be posted on CCIS website to highlight winning submission.
3) Applications must be submitted by their respective deadlines. No late applications will be considered.
4) Only one entry per contest per applicant.
5) Essay must address prompt and be between 250 and 500 words in length.
6) Essay must be original work of the applicant. Plagiarism will result in disqualification. Essays must not infringe on any intellectual property or third-party rights of any person, company or organization.
7) Past winners are not eligible to win a second time.
8) Decisions are final.
9) Winner and all other applicants will be notified via email of the results within 60 days of the submission date. By submitting an essay you are subscribing to receive the notification email.

·         VIP Scholarship – January 31, 2019 (1 Award – $5,000)

·         To be eligible for the VIP $5000 scholarship you must:
A) Must be at least 13 years of age or older.
B) Submit your entry by 11:59 pm ET on the day of the deadline.
C) You can submit multiple entries by following the instructions on the sponsors website.
