Country Music Isn’t All Yee-Haw

When thinking about country music, the majority of people think “yee-haw”, but the music is severely underrated. In the music world today, country music doesn’t grab the attention of Gen-Z. A lot of this generation likes to listen to rap music, and although rap music can be good at times, there are other options. More people should expand their music taste and give country music a try.

A few country artists to listen to when you are a new country listener are Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Jason Aldean. Now let’s narrow it down to certain albums and songs to listen to first.

One of my personal favorite albums by Morgan Wallen is Dangerous: The Double Album. My personal favorite song on that album is titled Wasted On You. It’s a song about how Morgan wasted his time with a girl where things didn’t work out. It’s the perfect song to blast down a dirt road when that special someone in your life isn’t pulling their weight in the relationship. The lyrics of the song were written to perfection and is one of my top favorite songs to get emotional to.

The best album that Luke Combs has released is called What You See Is What You Get. The album gives off vibes of love and it has a special place in my heart. The song titled Lovin’ On You is my personal favorite on the album. It’s very upbeat and never fails to put a smile on my face when it comes on the radio. Whenever you have a major crush on someone, look no further than listening to some Luke Combs.

Want to try listening to something more on the country side? Jason Aldean is a great artist to look into. His album Wide Open is one of my personal favorites. Whenever I want to listen to something more on the country side, but not super hick, I listen to the Wide Open album. One of my favorite country songs to ever exist is titled She’s Country and it’s a song on this specific album. Whenever you’re feeling the country vibes and have some old dirty boots on, I highly recommend you listen to this song and the whole album as well.

Country music is a genre that is very looked down upon and deserves more spotlight. This is your sign to give country music a try!
