The seasons are changing and the girls Sahuaro varsity volleyball season is here.  Coaching the girls volleyball team for his second year in a row is Coach Haynes.  This season the team is joined by many old players including seven seniors.  Unfortunately, some of the players will not be able to start due to testing positive with Covid, but this won’t stop Coach Haynes from starting off the season with a strong line up.  Coach Haynes expressed that, “This season’s main goal is to build the diversity and that family feel, making sure that we all get along, with no drama.”

Coach Haynes plans on advancing his girls volleyball team to The State Play-Ins for a second time. The girls varisty team has already had their first scrimmage, and when asked prior how he thought the game would go Coach Haynes said, “I think we are going to do very well, we have seven seniors, so a lot of leadership, we have a lot of returners as well so I think we are going to have a really good game.”  Following this, the girls team dominated Desert Christian High School on Monday August 22nd.  This win is the start of a good season, and in the words of Coach Haynes himself “Go Cougars!”
