The night of December 30th, 1984, Gloria James gave birth to Lebron James, and unknown to her at the time, she gave birth to the Future Goat of Basketball.

On February 7th, Lebron hit a fade-away shot that gave him the most points in NBA history, passing Kareem Abdul- Jabbar, who held the record for 38 years. He has other records like being the youngest to score 1k, 2k, 3k, all the way to 37k points in a career. He also is the only player with at least 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists. He is one of two players in NBA history to win at least four MVP awards and four Finals MVP awards (Michael Jordan being the other). He also has the most playoff points, wins, and games.

Lebron is also chasing other records. He’s top 5 in assists and if he keeps passing the ball the way he does, he has the potential to move up that list. He is the “King of Longevity” saying multiple times that he would like to play with his son Bronny James when he gets to the league. Lebron is also on a title hunt trying to get to and win his 5th NBA finals and finals MVP. He has a lot of work to do with the Lakers to get back to title contention, but if anyone can carry them to finals it’s Lebron.  After trading for some key pieces like Diangelo Russel, it looks like the Lakers and Lebron have a way better chance of even making the playoffs than they did even just a week ago. Lebron getting another title and another finals MVP could solidify him as the GOAT of basketball. Breaking the scoring record is an amazing achievement but it’s just the tip of the iceberg for what Lebron hopes to do this season… winning the NBA finals.
