Q: What inspired you to become a teacher?

A: Growing up I loved to play school. I love to read. My plan was to become a physical therapist but I realized I needed to teach.

Q: How many years have you been teaching for?

A: 11 1/2 years. In December it will be twelve. I started teaching in 2005.

Q: What subject do you teach?

A:Freshman English.

Q: What grades/classes did you teach?

A: I taught from 6th-10th grade. I also taught drama and speech.

Q: What college/colleges did you attend?

A: Northern Arizona University.

Q: Do you like Sahuaro so far?

A: Yes, it’s interesting. Totally different from middle school.

Q: What school did you teach before Sahuaro?

A: Doolen Middle School. Before that Magnet High School. Then Amphi High School and Wilson High School.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Anything I don’t have to cook,  a good pizza.

Q: Do you see yourself doing any other job besides teaching?

A: Maybe, I like to work with new teachers but stay within education.

Q: What are some interesting facts about you?

A: I grew up in Tucson and lived here all my life. I have a dog named Jasper and a black cat named Karma. I sang in a Carnegie Choir.
