Important College and Career Updates for All Seniors

College and Career Updates:

Financial Aid Night – We will be hosting a Financial Aid Night on October 5th from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Flyers will be mailed home to all seniors.  Guest speakers will include: the University of Arizona, Pima Community College, and the Metropolitan Education Commission.

Financial Aid Workshop – We will be hosting a Financial Aid Workshop on October 26, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for anyone interested in bringing their financial information.  We will assist families in completing their financial aid (FAFSA) online in the computer lab.  Sign-up sheets for this event will be available on Financial Aid Night, on October 5th, or by emailing or calling the College and Career Coordinator, Mrs. Weber-Lowrie. Space is limited.

Seniors  interested in getting help filling out their college applications for UA, NAU or ASU, please sign up in the Counseling office.  The UA and NAU will be on campus Monday, October 3rd.  ASU will be on campus Friday, October 28, 2016.  These sessions will be held in the computer lab.

Tucson College Night will be held on Tuesday, October 25th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center. Flyers will be mailed home to all seniors.  This is a great event with over 100 colleges attending. Students may also register to win a scholarship.

Seniors will be taking the SAT exam on October 19, 2016.  Students are advised to go on Collegeboard.org to create an account.  There is also free SAT test prep help and study materials available at Khanacademy.or

NAU and UA will be on campus Monday, October 3rd. For SENIORS only as we will be meeting in the computer lab to apply online to these colleges.

New Mexico University will be on campus on Thursday, October 6th. We will meet in the Career Center.

Concordia University in Irvine, California, will be on campus, Tuesday, October 25th. We will  meet in the Career Center.
