Look Expensive, For Cheap

Look Expensive, For Cheap

Francisco Acuna, Reporter

It’s Friday.  You’re in need of something to wear this weekend, but you’re low on cash. We’ve all been in this situation, so what do you do? I’ve come up with a list of some ways to get expensive clothing at a cheaper price.

  1. You Can Rent Designer goods
Not a lot of people know about this one, but you can rent designer goods. Among these sites some of the best are Rent The Runway, Bag Borrow or Steal (made popular in the movie version of Sex and the City), and The Mr. Collection.

  2. Ebay
Ebay is great for buying and selling used clothing. Ebay allows you to filter your search in many ways, from color preference to your size in shoes. I’ve both sold and purchased on Ebay, and I’ve never paid for shipping! Just press free shipping on your search filter.
  3. Thrift Shops
Lots of people thinks it’s gross to use second hand clothing, but who cares if you’re paying less than half what you would at the store? Senior Tyler Becenti recalls, “I found a Moschino Jacket, normally they’re about $200 to $300, but I got it for $27.”
  4.  Shop Off-Season
You can almost always find things like coats, scarves, and beanies  on sale during the spring/summer season. Last year during the summer I found so many sweaters at H&M for more than 50% off.
