Living the high school lifestyle has people constantly running around, going to work, staying up late cramming for tomorrow’s test, and playing sports. Who has time to eat a decent meal that is high protein? No one. After long, tiring days of working out or running around, your body needs a high protein meal to replenish itself to stay  healthy.  When asking Kruszewski, the weight lifting teacher, if he discusses nutrition in class or recommends students to eat certain items after a workout, he replied, “No”. He hopes that students use what they learn in health about what your body needs and apply it for his class. Here are easy ways to get fast protein and for cheap!

Eggs are a great way to get protein fast and easy. It can be prepared in a mug in the microwave!

Sliced turkey breast is a great choice to get protein in your body. About 2 oz, 2-4 pieces provides you with 13 grams of protein.

Nonfat Greek yogurt is another simple snack to gain high protein. In 5.3 oz of this yogurt you get 16 grams of protein.

Hard boiled eggs whites take a little longer to prepare but give you 3.5 grams of protein in a 17 calorie egg. This could also be mixed with other varieties of food like tuna or hummus.

Jerky is a fast and easy protein snack. There are many different types of meat that can be made like beef, chicken, or veal.
