Record Heat in Tucson

By the time Thanksgiving rolls around most all of Tucson is ready for Autumn weather to finally break through, but we Tucson people have still been walking around in shorts and tank tops.  But once November rolled around, the temperature rose into the high 80’s and began to warm up again. After the hot summer, many people were looking forward to the cooler weather, but looks like we’ll need to wait until December to take out our boots and jackets.

The temperature on November 25th was a high of 88, breaking a record dating back to 1894. Tucson has now hit its 180th 90-degree day this year. We are still 23 degrees above the yearly average. But hey, global warming is a farce, right??

Luckily, two storms heading through the west will cool off the desert to the low 80’s for the rest of this week. By the time Christmas comes around, it should be cooled off enough to finally qualify as sweater weather.
