  1. Until the age of 10, I lived across the street from David Spade.
  2. I have traveled to about 30 countries around the world.
  3. Grew up growing cotton and alfalfa. Worked for my dad every summer and during the school year as well – sometimes leaving the house at 5 am to change irrigation water before school.
  4. My height in 1987 prior to entering the Marine Corps was 5’8″. When I left four years later I was 5’6″. Lost two inches somewhere in the Corps.
  5. I truly dislike rude and ill-mannered people. Example: Is it really difficult to open the door for someone? Or greet somebody?
  6. The worst thing I ever did in high school was be a part of a group of students who were responsible for the Homecoming floats being cancelled my sophomore year. We retaliated against the junior class for egging our float site as we worked on it.
  7. If I wasn’t a teacher I would be a golf course superintendent. What better way to spend the day outside than on a beautiful golf course watching everybody enjoy your work?
  8. If I could have anyone in the world as a teacher, I’d pick Bill O’Reilly; he is very knowledgeable, and of course, fair and balanced.
