Start Out Your 2018 Right

Do you want to stay healthy in 2018? If so, here are some starting tips for you!
Food-based pointers include:
- Replace your pasta or rice dishes with a vegetable protein source. Quinoa, chickpeas, mushrooms, and tofu are good replacements.
- Try some plant-based dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, hazelnut, etc. using plants instead of lactose.
- With every new year comes a new superfood, and this year it is cacao and maca root!
- Reduce the use of oil-based foods including popcorn, French fries, and others.
- Drink more water! You will be healthier and especially drink when exercising. You lose a lot of water through the moisture in your skin.
Fitness-based pointers include:
- Stretch before and after any exercise to prevent any major or minor injuries. Be sure to stretch any muscle you plan on working.
- Keep a schedule that isn’t so complex to make you want to quit early.
- Do cardio to burn fat and weights to gain muscle; make sure you have a goal and a plan fit for you and your lifestyle.
- Consistency is key to reaching your goals, so keep at it!
