Disneyland is a fun place to go with family and kids. It’s a magical place full of many wonders and attractions to grab your attention. Imagine if you were able to visit every day for years and never get tired of it. Well, there is one man who had broken the world record for park visits at Disneyland and his name is Jeff Rietz. The 50-year-old California native had been going to Disneyland every day for 2,995 days between 2012 to March 2020 which of course earned a Guinness World Record for consecutive trips to the park. Rietz would use his annual pass and, being unemployed, gave him lots of free time to visit the park at a continuous rate. When 2020 came along, his visits would be curtailed by the pandemic, but his history was made and Guinness would contact him about his accomplishment. Rietz first went there when he was young with his family and soon fell in love with it. “It’s a nice place to walk around and chat with people. The park is really alive. I’ve got to see so many things change,” said, Rietz.

Rietz’s favorite destination in Disneyland is the Matterhorn Bobsleds, which are a pair of steel roller coasters twining through an alpine landscape made to resemble the famous precipitous peak. It’s been his favorite attraction since he was a little one, although his second favorite ride would be the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge which opened in 2019.  When Rietz wanted to chill out or relax, he would go to the area by the boat docks across from Matterhorn, or Galaxy’s Edge, to listen to the background sounds. Rietz would have his reliable food place to go when he was hungry  – that would be the pasta from the pizza port restaurant located in the park’s Tomorrowland section. What kept making Rietz return were the cast members or employees. They are the ones that make the magic and make the park stand out. Over the years many of the employees have divulged their secrets, like where to find Easter eggs and upcoming attractions coming to the park in the future.

So what’s coming up next for him? Rietz is hoping to visit the park once again; after 3 years it may not be easy to come back to the park since the pandemic and now they have an admission reservation system that effectively limits the guest when they can visit. He is excited to return to the park once again as it will be an eye-opening experience to see what’s new and what fresh new attractions have been brought to the park over the years of the pandemic.
