Beginning Art’s Brilliant Sculptures!

Samantha Crowson, Cougar Tales and Feature Editor

It’s always fun to take a walk through the lower 300 building and see the wonderful showcased art made by our fellow Sahuaro students! This week’s amazing creations are some very detailed sculpture work from Mrs. Kimbely’s beginning art classes.

Each sculpture depicts some everyday things or things the students enjoy and the idea came to Mrs. Kimbely when looking at the sculpture work of Claes Oldenburg. He only makes massive Pop Art sculptures resembling every day items, and are all around the world in public places, “His work is fun and that was my thought for this project,” Mrs. Kimbely said, “A change from drawing and learning how to draw… especially for those who aren’t as good at that kinda stuff, and work well with their hands.”
