 I’m not talking about gossip or the rapper, I’m talking about actual tea. Do you know which tea is good for what?
If not let’s talk about the basics and their health benefits.

  1. Green Tea– The go to for pretty much everyone, right? Well green tea promotes weight loss (by helping your metabolism out a tad), as well as anti-oxidizes, by lowering your cholesterol and blood sugar. Green tea is also great for acne and allergies. Green tea is great with long term diseases like cardiovascular,  diabetes and with your brain aging by improving overall brain function.
  2. Ginger– Ginger, pretty nasty raw but as a tea not so bad. Feeling under the weather? Well ginger tea helps out with sore throat, upset stomach, nausea, morning sickness and this list could continue for awhile but we’ll end it on the note that it assists you get over the common cold.
  3. Chamomile– Another OG. Chamomile is love in a cup. Tell your mom you’re having trouble sleeping and she’s quick to whip you up a serving. Why, because chamomile is huge for helping insomnia and easing anxiety, providing a soothing/calming effect. Chamomile isn’t only good with promoting good sleep, but it’s great to use for your complexion, you can use it to reduce under eye circles, treating sunburns, treating cuts, and can get rid of dandruff.
  4. Matcha– Going into flu season? Take a few tea bags of matcha with you. Matcha is immunity boosting and a great at detoxing. Matcha is energizing without giving you anxiety, great for focusing. It’s great for arthritis, because it reduces inflammation and slows down cartilage destruction.
  5. Chai– It’s heart healthy. Chai helps to wake you up, soothe any aches and pains you may have.  It aids in digestive support, which in turn helps with weight loss.

The tea is, well tea is great for you. Tea comes in all sorts of flavors, iced and hot. Pick your poison and reap those benefits.
