On September 27, 2017, Tucson Police reported a 43-year old woman was killed when struck by a school bus. The driver passed out behind the wheel and veered onto a sidewalk. Kimberly Ebserbacher was riding a motorized scooter on Wednesday afternoon when she was struck by the bus.

According to ABC News, officers say the wreck in Tucson remains under investigation but there is no evidence of drug or alcohol being the cause of the driver to pass out. Sgt. Kimberly Bay reported, “The bus veered onto the adjacent sidewalk and struck several trees and poles before hitting the women.” She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sgt. stated that the bus driver and one teenage student were not injured during the scene. No identities  were released.

In Ms. Ebserbacher obituary, it stated:

Kimberly was born on June 12, 1974 in Tucson, Arizona to Lynn and Connie Ebersbacher. She graduated from Catalina High School in 1992. She loved attending church, spending time with family and friends, playing board games, and volunteering for Soles for Kidz.

Services will be held for family and friends on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with graveside to follow at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ.
