Cougar Flash – Congrats to the speech and debate team.  They competed in Chandler this
past weekend and Halley Hughes was a semifinalist in informative speaking. Nousha Aldhefery was a finalist in humorous interp and took 6th place overall.  Good job debate team!

Our sports week begins basketball tomorrow, our girls are home and boys are at Casa Grande, with games at 4, 5:30 and 7 pm. We also have soccer against Cholla, boys are home and girls are away, with games at 4 and 6 pm. Thursday, our boys basketball team plays against at Catalina Foothills, and soccer plays Salpointe with girls at home and boys at Salpointe. Also on Thursday, January 17, we will be having our 6th annual Coaches vs Cancer girls basketball game(s) vs Catalina Foothills. Admission will be ONLY $1 for students with an ID and $4 if no ID or for all others. The first 300 students through the door will get a glow bracelet that they can “break” during the introductions of the varsity team when the lights are turned out. For boys interested in playing volleyball there will be an open gym on Thursday from 3:30-5pm in the Aux gym. Your paperwork must be completed and turned in to Ms. Genung before you can participate. Our wrestling team will be participating in a match at Flowing Wells this Friday and Saturday. Please come out and support our winter sports teams. Have a great week and Go Cougars!

If you are interested in boys tennis, they are holding pre-season workouts on Tuesday and
Thursday from 3:30-5pm. If you wish to participate, be sure to turn your paperwork into Ms. Genung in the activities office. If you have any question, please see Mr. Lawwill in room 133.

“Students and Teachers, please remember that selling items without membership in a club or submitting a fundraiser request form for a club is prohibited. If you have any questions please See Mr. Shingler in Rm. 232.”

Our tutor, Cathleen Hall will be back on campus after school beginning Tuesday, January 15.
Students, as you know ID’s are mandatory so please have it ready when you’re late to school
before pressing the buzzer to enter.  Wear your ID every day and be on time to school.

The sock drive starts today!! Please donate new and unused socks to
the box located in the Nurse's office. The socks go Families in TUSD
who need them. The Sock drive ends January 21st so donate Now!”
