SENIOR INFORMATION

SENIOR+INFORMATION

As we are coming to the end of the first quarter of the 2023-2024 year, seniors have a lot on their agenda to ensure they have a successful school year. Seniors need to make sure they are caught up on any previous missing credits and are staying caught up on their current credits, considering if you fail a class, you automatically will not be graduating on time. Along with grades we have senior quotes (past due), yearbook pictures, senior photos, senior ads, Jostens’ orders, and more. Below is more detailed information for seniors to ensure they are up to date with any opportunities and at an understanding of all of the requirements.

Credits/Attendance– Sahuaro is enforcing an old pre-COVID rule to hopefully lessen absences this year, particularly unexcused ones. If students get over 10 Unexcused absences in a semester it results in NC (No Credit). It is very important seniors DO NOT exceed 10 unexcused absences in a semester. If you are already in that predicament, go talk to your counselor as soon as possible as it could result in graduating late.

Yearbooks- Who wouldn’t want to have a physical way to remember their high school experience? Yearbooks can be purchased for 65 dollars until October 16th after that they go up by 10 dollars. January 8th, they go up 10 more dollars, and on March 18th, they go up another 10 dollars, the final price being 95 dollars. It’s best to purchase one in advance to ensure you get it at the lowest cost possible.

Senior Ads – Do you want a section of the yearbook dedicated to you to remember your contributions or experiences here at Sahuaro? If interested, Senior ads are offered. You can send in photos to be included. They will be created, printed, and sent home for the child’s and parents’ approval. Once there is a parent’s signature and payment is received, they will print the final ad. To get the ads at the following discounted prices they MUST be turned in by 10/15/23. 1/4 page for 40 dollars, 1/2 page for 80 dollars, and an entire page will cost 100 dollars. If you aren’t able to purchase at that time, they are still offering them however after October 15th they will be: 75 dollars for 1/4 a page, 125 dollars for a 1/2 page, and 150 dollars for a whole page. Senior Ads will be due December 11th.

Senior Picture- Senior Pictures are coming fast. Yearbook photos are free, and seniors MUST take their photos through Silhouette Photography. Once they are taken, they will be sent over to Ms. Slade to be put in the yearbook. Your senior photos are due 10/20/23. To take the photos you will call Silhouette and schedule an appointment. Silhouette Photography– Want to take more photos than just your yearbook photo? Silhouette not only offers a free yearbook photo, but also offers paid sessions for more senior photos offering outfit changes, background changes, and more.  First, you want to fill out the online form with your name, contact information, and email address. Next, you want to decide which session you would like and call Silhouette Photography to book your session. The deadline for taking these photos is 10/29/23. Caps and gowns are also available for photo sessions yearlong.

Jostens’– Seniors ready to get your Cap and Gown? Visit Jostens’ website and explore all the different options. Jostens is not only offering seniors the option to buy their cap and gown but also class jewelry, attire, cups, keychains, and various graduation packages. More information will be available further into the school year.

For additional information that is not included here or a physical flier from Silhouette Photography with more information regarding the further sessions, visit Ms. Slade in room 232. Congratulations on all your accomplishments thus far and many more to come. Keep up the hard work seniors, we got this!
