It’s December, the last month of the year, but it’s also Christmas season. If you’re looking for something fun to do in town this month, then here are a some family events to attend.

1. The Winterhaven Festival of Lights is one of the longest holiday traditions in Tucson. This festival is free and open to the Tucson community. The location is on N. Country Club Rd, and Ft. Lowell. They have official parking, but you can see the lights while sitting in a wagon, you can also see them on foot, which people mostly prefer.
2. Zoo Lights at Reid Park transforms the whole park into a Winter Wonderland. There’s twinkling lights all over the park. The Zoo Lights is a fun event to go to with your family or boyfriend/girlfriend. The Zoo Lights started last weekend and it will be going on every day to December 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The location is on 3400 E Zoo Ct, Tucson, Arizona 85716.
3. Downtown Parade of Lights has been hosted for more than 2o years. It is a family-friendly event that takes place at Downtown, Tucson AZ on December 15.
4. Luminaria Nights is one of Tucson’s Holiday Traditions. You celebrate the Holiday with 3,000 candlelit luminarias and 22 Korean lanterns; they light up the Tucson Botanical Garden next to a ten foot tall Christmas tree. It starts on Dec 7 – Dec 9 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on N Alvernon Way, Tucson, Arizona 85712.
5. Lights of the World has more than 15 carnival rides are free with general admission. Foods and arts and crafts are also available. The parking fee is $6 and entrance is $20 per person. This event is from  November 8, 2018-January 4, 2019. Its on 2500 E Ajo Way, Tucson, Arizona 85713 Kino Sports Complex.
6. Christmas in the Desert- 6,000 Lights and Wagon Rides. There will be hot cocoa, s’mores, and Santa. On December 14 – December 15 at 6:00 PM, on 16712 E Old Spanish Trail, Vail, Arizona 85641.
7. Classic Car Show. December 15 and December 22 on Saturday at 9:00 am. Little Anthony’s Diner, 7010 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, Arizona 85710
8. Mountain Lemmon Ski Valley. Open on Monday, Thursday, Friday at 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday, and Sunday 9:00 am to 4:30 PM. 10300 E Ski Run Rd, Mt, Lemmon, AZ  85619
