Cougar Flash –Our Varsity will play at Sunnyside this tonight at 7pm.
Our girls golf team will travel to Prescott for an Invitational on today and tomorrow.
Attention all girls interested in playing soccer.  There will be a short meeting immediately
after school today September 27 th in the dance room of McConnell gym.
Need help with that essay? Don’t understand what the heck is happening in your math

Stop by for some clarity and motivation at the Academic Study Clinic! 
Attention Seniors: We need you to verify how your name is going to appear on your
DIPLOMA….Stop by the Attendance Office and check out the lists of Senior Names on
the Counter. If you find your name spelled wrong or you have changed your name, let Ms.
Patty know so she can order your Diploma with the correct Name. Do This ASAP Cougars!
Clubs/Student Council
ATTENTION, ATTENTION students especially those who have siblings at Sahuaro. Please
come by room 122 before school or during Conference period to get your picture taken for
the yearbook sibling page.
October 1 st , Tuesday, NHS is hosting a blood drive! If you are 16 or older, you can get and
return signed permission slips from Rutherford’s room 100. Permission slips are due before
Wednesday September 25 th . Help save lives by donating in the blood drive.
The University of Arizona’s Hispanic/Latinx College Day is this Saturday Sept. 28 from 10
AM – 2 PM. During the day students and parents will connect with current students, UA

faculty and staff, learn about different opportunities that are available and discover a
remarkable Hispanic/Latinx community at the UA. Free lunch will be provided as well!
Please register at go.arizona.edu/hispanicday or visit Lupita Gamez from Mexican
American Student Services in the counselors office for more information.
Seniors: FASFA Night is happening October 1st from 6-8pm in the cafeteria. This is the
first step to securing cash for college and you cannot receive financial aid without a
FASFA.  Representatives from the UA and Metropolitan Educational Commission will be on
hand to provide information and assistance.  Don’t forget FASFA Night October 1 st 6-
8PM in the Cafeteria
Students, if you have purchased a sports pass you can go to the finance office and
have it printed on your ID.
If you have lost or found an item, please take it to the finance office. This is where all lost
and found things can be taken.
