Arizona Daily StarFire Molino has been burning on Mount Lemmon and has spread nearly 500 acres after it ignited at a federal shooting range near mile marker 4 at Catalina Highway on October 27th. Officials and multiple fire agencies responded to the brushfire at around 4:15 p.m.

Officials say “the blaze, dubbed the Molino Fire, damaged several acres of grassland and has prompted the closure of the road going up to Mount Lemmon”. Forest officials and the local fire department are staged at a campground and are now trying to stop the fire from spreading into roads or buildings. They still don’t know exactly how the fire started yet but the Molino basin campground was evacuated and is still closed today.
