My Chemical Romance has been on hiatus for years now, but they’ve finally revealed a reunion show that all of the original band members will be playing at. The band came out of their six year long silence this past October, and announced a show in Los Angeles which sold out almost immediately. The band very recently announced three more shows at three music festivals.

Rumors of the band returning have been around since the band broke up, but recently Joe Jonas stirred the pot with an interview where he claimed that he heard the band rehearsing. “I’ve got some dirt. My Chemical Romance apparently was rehearsing next to us in New York recently, which I thought they broke up, so I don’t know.” A month later Frank Iero, guitarist for My Chemical Romance, said that the rumors were false.

Lead singer Gerard Way reported that when they first broke up, the rest of the band was pretty upset about it. Reasons for breaking up was simply that it was time for them to be over. Now the band is back for at least a few more concerts, maybe new music as well.

Their first album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought me Your Love, was very scene and heavy. They started to calm it down with Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, adding more ballads and slower songs. Their third album, Welcome To The Black Parade, featured more slower and depressing songs that transition into feel good beats. Their fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys features a whole new sound of more electronics and dance songs.
