On Saturday, November 30th, our local and beloved Arizona Wildcats went head-to-head against their rival team, Arizona State. With their record standing at 7-5,  ASU really showed up and took the win. This game is not only legendary, but it’s an event that will leave a significant mark in football history. This has been one of the longest rivalries of all time, the winner receives the Territorial Cup, created 120 years ago for the 1899 champion between schools in Arizona and which the NCAA has certified as the oldest rivalry trophy in college football.

Eno Benjamin, the running back for Arizona State, went into the game strong and finished even stronger with 168 yards and two touchdowns. We can’t forget about the Sun Devil defense either. Jack Jones, the defensive back, had two interceptions leading Arizona State to victory. The second half was when things started to escalate for the Sun Devils. Eno Benjamin scored another touchdown, and Jack Jones had a pick-six. Arizona played an amazing game as well, with Khalil Tate-the quarterback for the Wildcats showing off his arm with an amazing 228-yards passing and 2 touchdowns. The Wildcat defense showed up as well, with Josh Brown the defensive end who had a sack, as well as Justin Belknap, another defensive player with a sack.

Overall, both teams played an amazing game however there was only one who took the dub and the Arizona State Sun Devils showed up! The final score was 14 Arizona and 24 Arizona State, one amazing game between 2 rivals – the Wildcats and the Sun Devils.
