Summer Campbell, Reporter

On Saturday, August 20th Darya Dugina, daughter of Alexander Dugin, was murdered by a bomb that went off in her vehicle. Russia believed that Ukraine’s Kyiv was to blame for this attack. A senior Ukraine official came forward and denied Ukraine’s involvement in Darya’s murder, saying, “What reason is there for us to do this?”

Monday, August 22nd The FSB announced their suspect. The suspect is believed to be a female Ukrainian citizen, with her 12-year-old daughter. Video evidence shows that the suspect entered the building which is believed to belong to the victim. Another piece of evidence was released of the suspect in a mini Cooper entering Russia and then exiting to Estonia where the suspect and her daughter are believed to be hidden.

Vladimir Dzhabarov, a senior member of the Russian Federation Counsel addressed Estonia by saying, “If Estonia does not extradite the perpetrator of the murder of Dugina to Russia, there are grounds for harsh actions against Tallinn for harboring a terrorist.” A spokesperson for the Estonian police and border guard responded to Dzhabarov’s strong message by saying they would not touch on the actions of private individuals and had not been given any requests by the Russian authorities for further information on this case. The search still continues for the death of Darya Dugin, and Russian authorities are taking it very seriously.
