Music legend, brand owner, CEO, and the youngest self-made billionaire, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, better known as Rihanna, will be headlining the upcoming Super Bowl LVII in Glendale Arizona on February 12, 2023. Super Bowl LVII will also be a huge milestone for the NFL because, after almost a decade of Pepsi being the primary sponsor of the event, Apple Music will be replacing Pepsi as the 2023 sponsor. This is also a very exciting announcement for the Rihanna Navy and fans around the world due to her lack of presence in the music world in recent years. Her last live performance was at the 2018 Grammys following the release of her most recent album, ANTI released in 2016. Fans have been desperately hoping for Rihanna to release new music after the success of ANTI and her other iconic albums from years past.

Despite her taking a break from making music, Rihanna has remained one of the most streamed artists across all platforms and still holds the record for the youngest artist in history to reach 10 #1 hits at age 23. She took a break to focus on her highly successful makeup line, Fenty Beauty, and her lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty. She also recently gave birth to her son, whose name has yet to be revealed publically, with A$AP Rocky after her very public pregnancy sharing several photoshoots and magazine pictures looking stunning with her baby bump.

Unfortunately for Rihanna’s fans, Super Bowl tickets are going for $4,000 for top deck seating and upwards of $70,000 for VIP packages. Unless I win the lottery, it looks like I will be watching the halftime show from my house next year. Fans, including myself, are hoping to see Rihanna perform hits like “Umbrella”, “Needed Me”, “Diamonds”, “S&M”,  “Only Girl (In the World)”, and “Disturbia” after her 5-year hiatus from music. Her discography could also very easily accommodate slower ballets such as “Take A Bow”, “Love On The Brain”, “Kiss It Better”, Unfaithful”, “Love The Way You Lie”, and so many more. No matter what Rihanna’s set list for this upcoming Super Bowl is, there’s no doubt it will be an all-star performance from Miss Badgalriri.
