Latest School Shooting in Elementary School

Baileigh Fidler, reporter

On Wednesday, September 28, another school shooting occurred. In Townsville, South Carolina, one teen was arrested for opening fire on an elementary school playground. This teen entered the elementary school and harmed at least two children, as well as a teacher. Not the only incident,  an adult one an a half miles away from the school was shot dead. Authorities released that the murdered male was the suspect’s father.

This latest incident with the school happened around 2:00 p.m. ET time. While the SWAT team searched the school for any signs of danger, parents frantically picked up their children at a nearby church. Right before the suspect entered the school, he allegedly shot his father, stole his truck, and rammed it through the fence of the elementary school, where children were playing during recess. Teachers rushed to herd the children back inside, and one teacher was shot in her shoulder, leaving her in critical condition.

He shot both of the young children on their legs, causing serious injures.  Luckily, before the teen could injure anyone else, a volunteer fire fighter tackled him down, capturing him. Before all his outrage occurred, he called his grandparents sobbing, explaining his hate for life.  The school shooter is now in custody and police are questioning motives.
