Sahuaro Football Losing Streak Turns into Winning Streak

Sahuaro Football Losing Streak Turns into Winning Streak

Deartis Mason, Sports Recorder

Since the beginning of football season at Sahuaro, our football team has had an upsetting losing streak, but things have taken a turn around since the beginning of September. The boys on the football team have been playing valiantly learning from their losses, and have been winning most of there games this month. They are proud of how they’ve been performing and so are their coaches. Sahuaro’s football team has been waiting long and hard for this winning streak and they are glad that it’s finally on a role. One of the football captains, Landon Grant, said that it felt “great to be back on their winning streak.”

The football players worked relentlessly in the summer to be in good shape for the school season. Summer practices were from 3 to 6 pm which were hard to get through considering how hot summers are in Tucson. The boys celebrate by getting donuts the morning after every game. Everyone is happy and grateful for this turn around, especially friends and family of the player as well as their coaches.
