This year men and women have been taking over Tik Tok with what’s now called the “Edgar Walk”. The Edgar Walk is what “Edgars” do. “Edgar” is the new name for a style for men that’s similar to a VSCO girl. By doing the “Edgar Walk” they are mocking the “Edgars.”

With the app Subway Surfers becoming a big hit game again, that obviously created Tik Tok trends. Letters to complete your goal in Subway Surfers are now a way to post about someone you’re directing a Tik Tok too. Having lyrics to a song and using a letter to resemble a name was another part of the trend.

Next up we have POVs or point-of-views. People used POVs as a way to express anything that they were feeling. They used them as ways to tell people what they were feeling without saying anything to anyone. They never had a meaning unless it was something important.

A video, originally posted to YouTube Shorts, became a viral sensation, depicting a boy trying to drink a sprite without burping and proceeding to hit his head. People started trying to chug Sprite without burping.

With Euphoria being the top show in the beginning of 2022, a lot of memes and Tik Toks about it came out. Whether that was making fun of Cassie or of any character’s situation. Sometimes it was even actually relating to the characters’ lives.

“Wednesday,” the series starring Jenny Ortega as the titular character, became such a big hit on Tik Tok. Everyone says it was the best trend yet of 2022. There are multiple trends, but Thing (AKA the hand with no rest of its body) became one of the most famous.

With Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Grammy’s, it became a trend on everybody’s FYP (For You Page), Whether that was the song they made for it or edits of the slap and people remaking their own version of the slap like this one.

Slapping people with a tortilla?! When you’re with a group of people, have fun slapping each other with tortillas and posting it on Tik Tok with water in your mouth. Hopefully, you don’t fall over or spit all your water out. Knowing from personal experience, it is one of the most fun things to do with friends.

Last but finally not least. 0.5 pictures. As 0.5 photos became a trend on iPhone, that came with surprise Tik Tok trends. Whether it was making yourself look funny or your friends, it’s still a big hit to take 0.5 pictures to this day!
