During the summer teenagers want to earn money, but oftentimes they aren’t old enough for jobs. Well now there is a solution for that. If you are not old enough to have a job, you can apply for the Pima County summer program. To apply for the program you have to be between the ages of 14-21 and you have to be 14 by May 3rd 2020. The application is online and to be eligible you have to send a picture of your current report card. They only accept students with passing grades. Applications must be in by May 4th 2020. But not everyone has a chance of being accepted into the program due to the high volume of teens trying to join. If you get into the program, you have to go in for a one-day workshop. While at the workshop, advisors are watching over you to observe how you conduct yourself.

Over the summer your parent/guardian will be the one responsible to take you and pick you up from the program. Sessions are usually around 4-6 weeks long and you have to work 20-40 hours per week. This program teaches you about the real life out there and how to work with activities. The jobs are something everyone can do. Some options are to be a counselor, field trip counselor, and helper with the special needs.

Depending on how well your working skills are, you can earn money. So if you are looking to earning some money this summer to hang out with friends or go shopping sign up for the Pima County summer program.
