Paris Hilton’s Cooking Show – Is It Worth Watching?

Paris Hiltons Cooking Show - Is It Worth Watching?

Kasia Jackson, Reporter

Paris Hilton cooking? That’s intriguing. That’s right readers of The Paper Cut, Paris Hilton has a cooking show, and it surprisingly is not too bad.

I mean, who doesn’t want to watch an insanely rich, 40-year-old woman learn how to use her kitchen. Or even learn the names of classic cooking utensils, such as a whisk or even a spatula. Did I forget to leave out that she was not quite sure what a blender looked like? Well, that did happen, and I was here for it. I mean, pure entertainment.

If you are an individual who gets annoyed by other’s inability to complete somewhat simple tasks, then this show is not for you. However, if you find those kinds of things amusing, I suggest you watch them.

In case you do not know who Paris Hilton is, she is an American media personality, model, and much more. Her great-grandfather was the founder of Hilton Hotels.

She has a Netflix series called Cooking with Paris. The series consists of a total of 6 episodes, with various famous guest stars, such as Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, Saweetie, Lele Pons, and more. In the first episode, Paris Hilton invites her long-time friend, Kim Kardashian, to make breakfast. They made giant-sized Lucky Charm marshmallows and Frosted Flakes French toast. It was funny watching Hilton struggle making the breakfast and that Kim had to direct her on how to use the stove and dishwasher.

In the show, Hilton has a cooking book with various recipes that are bedazzled with gems, and the writing in the book is written in rainbow colors. She mentioned that she gets bored with reading things that are all in the same color. Even a majority of her cooking utensils are bedazzled as well, which to me doesn’t seem ideal. I mean, what if one of the gems comes off and ends up in the food? That could be a choking hazard, but it’s whatever, I’m not the one eating the food.

She also feels the need to add edible glitter to each dish she makes and that kind of makes me feel weird inside.

Hilton gives Madonna vibes in each episode by wearing elaborate fabric gloves to match her outfit. You would think she is going to a red carpet event by the way she dresses to COOK. That’s a disaster waiting to happen.

The show also includes Hilton’s adventures with shopping, buying the supplies for the meals she cooks. One of the episodes has a theatrical performance, by Hilton, where she was running away from a dead turkey that she was trying to purchase from the butchers, which evidently grossed her out. That scene to me was a bit cringe.

Overall, this show is not too bad. It is definitely entertaining with a hint of cringe. If I had to rate this show I would give it a 5.5 out of 10. It’s not the best thing in the world and it would be towards the end of my list of things to watch. Although, I wouldn’t totally mind seeing a season 2. So, check it out and let me know your thoughts about the show.
