Q: What is your name, grade, and age?

A: I’m Julian Perez, 14-years-old, and a freshman at Sahuaro.

Q: Where are you from?

A: I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.

Q: What sports do you play?

A: I play 4 sports: baseball, soccer, football, and basketball.

Q: What made you interested in playing these sports?

A: It gives me something to do. It’s fun, especially with hitting.

Q: How long have you been playing these sports?

A:  I started football when I was like 5 or 6, I’d say in between. Baseball since I was 8. Basketball is fun, but I only play with my friends. I started playing soccer last year.

Q: At the varsity football game, you were the kicker. What was going through your head and how were you feeling?

A: I wasn’t nervous or anything, but I knew I had to focus on the game. It was pretty fun to be out there.

Q: What’s your favorite memory so far at Sahuaro?

A: Most definitely the varsity football game.

Q: What do you look forward to in high school?

A: Just keeping up my grades and having fun.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: I want to get a scholarship for any sport, but if that doesn’t work, I’ll probably just work with my dad in landscaping.

Q: What’s a question you’d ask yourself in 5 years?

A: Did you get a scholarship to college?
