Life Goes On…

Life+Goes+On...

Life goes on… it’s not a topic a high school student will not explore while in school.  All you hear is your future, you have to plan for your future, you have to know what career you want to pursue…all of this official stuff that you have to do. I don’t exactly like the word “have” – it seems to represent what you can and cannot do with your life. If you wake up every day thinking about what you have to do in your life, then you miss the purpose of why wake up at all. I know what a privilege waking up to see another day is – a Blessing all in itself. Why wake up with the thought that it’s just another day? Wake up with the trust that today is going to be different than yesterday.

Self-expectation tends to make life more exciting because you believe in yourself to fulfill your expectation. You are your life coach, the only one who can make yourself proud.  There are those out there who you’re waiting to hear the famous words from, you are waiting to hear the words “I’m proud of you” from someone in your life, but that won’t mean anything to you if you don’t feel like you did anything worth being proud of.

That feeling of accomplishment can only come from yourself, no one else can give that to you. Wanting to give up and feeling tired, stressed, and depressed are custom, actually it has to happen.  Your sadness is a core motivation. You’re never gonna go talk to someone who is successful to hear about their life that they will not say they were never depressed or hurt, that they came to be successful with no problems at all in their life. No, you will hear the most depressing stories from all these people that made it and will have you thinking why would they go through this, but it’s because they went through this that they became who they are now.  “They found peace in the storm.”
