Mrs. Watters Top 10 List: What I’ve Learned During the School Closure (In no particular order)

Mrs. Watters, Contributor

1. I can do 14 push-ups in a row. I’m swole!!

2. Information overload is real! Critical thinking and fact-checking are survival
skills, along with protecting your mental and emotional health by taking a break
from the news.

3. My dog will NEVER get bored with going on walks.

4. Neither will I!

5. Converse, as much as I love them, are not great for walking my dog.

6. The Sahuaro community is truly amazing! Everyone comes together to help
each other.

7. I am terrible at Monopoly! My 13-year-old son has beaten me every, single
time. As my 21-year-old son would say, “Rekt!”

8. Ben Gibbard, the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie, is a wonderful person.
He has been live-streaming hour-long concerts every day from his home in
Seattle, and during each one, he highlights a charity in his community that needs
financial donations, supplies, etc. It’s inspiring to see someone use their
influence to help others, and it made me think of what I can to help people in this
community.

9. A roll of Costco toilet paper lasts 4 ½ days in my house.

10. As much as I enjoy my time at home, I would rather be teaching in person. I
miss you all!
